Used 2021 Acura RDX for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

How much does the 2021 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 8.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 165 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Acura RDX earns a 4.69/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Cost effectiveness.

Owners consistently praise its fantastic value, comfort, fun driving experience, spacious interior, and stylish design. That lines up well with its role as a compact luxury crossover SUV that blends everyday practicality with a more engaging personality.

For you, that means the RDX makes the most sense if you want a premium-feeling SUV that is easy to live with but still feels more distinctive than many rivals. 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.69/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels reliable, dependable, and well suited to long-term ownership, with praise centred on value, comfort, and a generally trouble-free experience. The expert drive notes reinforce that impression by describing the RDX as a strong all-rounder with quality materials, solid safety, and a well-rounded ownership proposition.

Acura also frames the RDX as a premium SUV that gives you a lot for the money, which supports confidence if you plan to keep it for several years. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about core durability and more about whether you can live with the interface and the few comfort-related compromises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Acura RDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim starts the range, but the Tech trim adds important safety equipment that the base model lacks, including blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert. The A-Spec adds sportier styling and interior touches, while the Elite and Platinum Elite sit higher in the range with more premium presentation.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and SH-AWD. The driving character is described as rewarding, with predictable handling and a broad torque curve.
• Safety package: Acura’s suite includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are not included on the base trim.
• Infotainment: The True Touchpad Interface uses a touch-sensing pad rather than a touchscreen. It includes satellite radio, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi tethering, with an available navigation system.
• Fuel efficiency: Some owners are disappointed by fuel economy, so that is worth factoring into your test drive and ownership budget.

Which 2021 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2021 Acura RDX is offered in 5 trim levels: Base, Tech, A-Spec, Elite, Platinum Elite.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, but it leaves out blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and can live without those features.
• Tech: This is the best-value choice because it adds the safety equipment missing from the base trim, making it the smartest buy for most shoppers.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want the sportiest look and a more distinctive cabin, including sport seats, red accents, and unique trim details.
• Elite: This trim leans more premium and is priced slightly below the A-Spec, but the content here points more strongly to the Tech as the value pick.
• Platinum Elite: This is the top trim, with the most upscale equipment and the adaptive-damping suspension mentioned in the drive notes.

The safety-package gap on the base trim is the key thing to watch, so most used buyers should start their search with the Tech trim or higher.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 165 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.47% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,865 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $32,894 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,937 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. A softer market usually means future sellers may need to price more competitively to attract attention.

Even so, the RDX’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal should help support demand over time. If you keep it in good condition and choose a well-equipped trim, you should have a better chance of holding value than with a less desirable luxury SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.69/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX safe?

The 2021 Acura RDX earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and five-star overall ratings from NHTSA. It earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Acura equips every RDX with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. However, blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on the base trim, so you need to move up to the Tech trim at minimum for those features.

That base-trim gap is the main safety caveat to keep in mind. If those systems matter to you, make sure the used example you are considering includes them.

Should I buy a 2021 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.69/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines Acura’s latest styling, the True Touchpad Interface, and a strong value-focused luxury package.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $30,126 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $32,894 CAD average.
• It offers strong value with plenty of space, comfort, and safety tech.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $37,672 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $32,894 CAD average.
• It adds fresh styling, a quieter cabin, and refined ride and handling.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, features, and current-market availability, the 2021 is the strongest all-round choice. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 is the better value play; if you want newer updates and can stretch your budget, the 2022 is worth a look.
