Which 2020 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Acura RDX is offered in 4 trim levels: RDX, Tech, A-Spec, and Platinum Elite A-Spec.

Here's the short version:

• RDX: This is the best-value choice because it already comes very well equipped with the core comfort, convenience, and safety features most shoppers want. If you want the strongest mix of price and equipment, this is the trim to start with.
• Tech: Choose this if you want more convenience and a better audio and navigation experience, plus extra driver-assistance features and rear-door keyless entry. It is the sensible upgrade if those additions matter to you.
• A-Spec: This trim is for you if you want the sportier look and the upgraded cabin feel, including ventilated front seats, UltraSuede upholstery, sport pedals, and the 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D audio system.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: Pick this if you want the most luxurious and fully featured version, with 16-way power front seats, heated rear seats, natural wood trim, a head-up display, and a surround-view camera.

The safety package is strong across the range, and the Tech grade adds front and rear parking sensors.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 197 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.69% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,074 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $30,126 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,504 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more attractive level today, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on buying well and keeping the vehicle in strong condition. Models with desirable equipment and clean histories should still draw interest, especially because the RDX remains a well-regarded luxury crossover.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Acura RDX safe?

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite includes lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, road-departure mitigation, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow. Standard equipment also includes a rear-view camera with a washer nozzle, hill-start assist, a tire pressure monitoring system, LATCH child-seat mounting systems, and a full set of front- and side-impact airbags. Tech adds front and rear parking sensors, while Platinum Elite A-Spec adds a 360-degree surround-view camera and a head-up display.

Should I buy a 2020 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the third-generation RDX formula: strong value, plenty of space, and lots of safety tech.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $32,894 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $30,126 CAD average.
• It brings Acura’s completely rethought True Touch Interface infotainment system.

The bottom line: If you want the better buy today, the 2020 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and solid safety. If you are willing to pay more for a newer-year update and a redesigned infotainment approach, the 2021 is the alternative to consider.
