Used 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan for Sale nearKitchener, ON

How much does the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan cost?

Prices have softened 18.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 462 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan a good car?

Yes — the 4.89/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its value, roomy interior, and quality, and they also like the smooth handling and more upscale feel it brings compared with some rivals. That fits well if you want a compact SUV that leans toward comfort, space, and everyday practicality rather than a sporty driving experience. With 31.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a decent amount of market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people feel good about living with over time, especially because they value its quality and everyday usability. At the same time, the Tiguan story includes engine, electrical, and infotainment concerns, so reliability depends heavily on how well a used example has been maintained and inspected. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk is manageable only if you verify service history and condition carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 462 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,471 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan's resale value?

The current average of $19,471 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,960 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Tiguan more attractive to buyers now but less favourable for sellers trying to maximise return. If you own one, the softer pricing means you may need to be realistic about your asking price to stay competitive. On the other hand, the model’s roomy cabin and strong value reputation can still help support demand among shoppers looking for a practical compact SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Tiguan makes the most sense if you want a used compact SUV with a roomy interior, a more premium feel, and a market price that has come down meaningfully. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, service history, and asking price.
