Used 2020 Subaru WRX for Sale near Quebec

How much does the 2020 Subaru WRX cost?

Prices have softened 12.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 90 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for used shoppers.

Is the 2020 Subaru WRX a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Subaru WRX earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the turbo power, handling, and comfort, especially for daily driving. The WRX also stands out for its fun-to-drive character, manual transmission availability, and standard all-wheel drive.

The main trade-offs are its outdated technology and the interior quality concerns noted by owners. In practical terms, that means you should expect a sporty, usable sedan rather than a polished luxury cabin.

With 32.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is enough market activity to give you some shopping leverage.

Is the 2020 Subaru WRX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in everyday use, with many drivers describing it as a vehicle they enjoy living with over time. The expert test-drive data also supports that impression by highlighting the WRX’s solid, confidence-inspiring performance and its ability to work as a daily driver.

The manual-equipped WRX also returns a Natural Resources Canada-estimated fuel consumption of 11.3 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 8.5 on the highway, and 10.1 combined, which is the most efficient version of the model. That said, used buyers should still pay attention to wear items and signs of hard driving, since this is a performance sedan that may have been driven enthusiastically.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Subaru WRX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Base trim gives you the essentials, including a six-speed manual transmission, 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, automatic climate control, power windows, Bluetooth, satellite radio, two USB ports, and a 6.5-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience, while the Sport-tech RS brings Brembo brakes, Recaro front seats, push-button start, and a 9-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
• Powertrain: The WRX uses a turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-litre boxer-four with 268 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. You get standard symmetrical all-wheel drive and a six-speed manual, with a CVT available on some trims. The manual setup is the enthusiast choice, while the CVT adds drive modes and simulated manual-shift control.
• Safety package: EyeSight is the named driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and reverse automatic emergency braking are also available. EyeSight is optional on the WRX, so check whether a specific used example has it.
• Infotainment: The WRX comes with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, and some trims upgrade to a 7-inch unit. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the system is described as easy to use. The tech also includes a digital display in the instrument panel and a digital information screen atop the dash.
• Fuel efficiency: The manual-equipped WRX returns 11.3 L/100 km city, 8.5 highway, and 10.1 combined. The CVT version returns 12.9 L/100 km city, 9.7 highway, and 11.5 combined.

Which 2020 Subaru WRX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Subaru WRX is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, Sport, Sport-tech, and Sport-tech RS.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the value play if you want the WRX experience with the lowest entry point. You still get the manual transmission, all-wheel drive, heated front seats, and the 6.5-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so it covers the core appeal well.
• Sport: This is the trim to consider if you want a better balance of convenience and equipment. It adds the available CVT, a 10-way power driver’s seat, lighting upgrades, a trunk lip spoiler, and EyeSight, making it the best-value choice for many shoppers.
• Sport-tech: This trim is for you if you want a more upscale cabin and a larger screen. It adds 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, and a 7-inch touchscreen, so it feels like the sweet spot for buyers who want more comfort without going all the way to the top trim.
• Sport-tech RS: Choose this if you want the most aggressive factory setup. It adds Brembo brakes with painted calipers, Recaro front seats, push-button start, and the 9-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

EyeSight is optional on the WRX, so verify whether the used example you’re considering has the driver-assistance suite you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Subaru WRX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing movement to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 90 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,223 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Subaru WRX's resale value?

The current average of $22,223 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,478 CAD.

That price movement suggests the WRX has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it easier to move if you price yours competitively later. The current market also shows a defined low-to-high range, so condition, trim, and equipment should matter a lot when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Subaru WRX safe?

The Subaru WRX earns top marks in testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and is even a 2020 IIHS Top Safety Pick. It also earned a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The WRX comes standard with a full array of front- and side-impact airbags, traction control, and a tire-pressure monitoring system. EyeSight is available and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and reverse automatic emergency braking are also available.

One thing to watch is that EyeSight is not standard on every WRX, so safety equipment can vary by trim and by individual vehicle.

Should I buy a 2020 Subaru WRX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model year keeps the WRX’s rally-bred formula intact while pairing it with standard all-wheel drive, a manual transmission, and a strong expert safety score.

The bottom line: If you want the WRX’s core mix of performance, traction, and everyday usability at a softer used-car price, the 2020 is a strong choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping the surrounding model years and compare equipment carefully, but the 2020 stands out as a well-rounded pick in this generation.
