Used 2020 Subaru WRX for Sale nearOrleans, ON

How much does the 2020 Subaru WRX cost?

Prices have softened 11.22% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 87 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing used WRXs.

Is the 2020 Subaru WRX a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating, the 2020 Subaru WRX lands strongly for shoppers who want a performance sedan that still works as a daily driver.

The model scores 9/10 across Performance, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the turbo power, handling, and comfort, especially for everyday use. The WRX also stands out for its standard all-wheel drive and manual transmission availability, which help make it feel engaging and capable in all seasons.

The main trade-offs are its outdated technology and the fact that some buyers may find the interior quality underwhelming. The overview also points to a car that is meant to be fun first, so if you want a softer, more refined commuter, this may feel more focused than you need.

With 29.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is enough market activity to give you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Subaru WRX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable and trouble-free in the ways that matter to enthusiasts who want a daily driver they can count on. The performance notes reinforce that sense of confidence, with the WRX described as a car that can be driven like a normal commuter while still delivering strong turbo power and precise control.

The cost-effectiveness notes also highlight the manual WRX’s relatively efficient fuel use for this kind of performance car, which can help reduce day-to-day ownership strain. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright reliability and more about whether you can live with the car’s firmer ride, road noise, and dated cabin feel over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Subaru WRX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you the essentials, including heated front seats, automatic climate control, a 6.5-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a manual transmission. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience, while the Sport-tech RS brings Brembo brakes, Recaro front seats, push-button start, and a premium audio system.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.0-litre boxer-four with 268 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, paired to standard symmetrical all-wheel drive. The manual is the enthusiast choice, while the CVT adds drive modes and simulated manual-shift control.
• Safety package: EyeSight is the named driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and reverse automatic emergency braking are also available, but EyeSight is not standard on every WRX trim.
• Infotainment: The WRX comes with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, while a 7-inch screen is available on higher trims. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the system is described as easy to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The manual WRX is rated at 11.3 L/100 km city, 8.5 highway, and 10.1 combined. The CVT version is rated at 12.9 city, 9.7 highway, and 11.5 combined.

Which 2020 Subaru WRX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Subaru WRX is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Sport, Sport-tech, and Sport-tech RS.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the value play if you want the WRX experience with the least complexity. You still get the manual transmission, heated front seats, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the core performance character that defines the car.
• Sport: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of price and equipment. It adds the available CVT, a power driver’s seat, lighting upgrades, a trunk lip spoiler, and EyeSight, making it the most well-rounded choice for many shoppers.
• Sport-tech: Choose this if you want a more upscale cabin and a larger touchscreen. The leather upholstery and 7-inch infotainment system make it feel more polished without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• Sport-tech RS: This is the most performance-flavoured version of the standard WRX lineup, with Brembo brakes, Recaro front seats, push-button start, and a premium audio system.

EyeSight is available on the WRX, while several other Subaru models make it standard, so it is worth checking exactly which trim you are considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Subaru WRX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly when you find the right one.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 87 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.22% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,367 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Subaru WRX's resale value?

The current average of $23,367 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,321 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the WRX has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. The year-round range shows that values have already settled into a narrower band, which can help buyers gauge whether a listing is fairly positioned.

For a seller, the current trend points to a market that still rewards the WRX’s enthusiast appeal, but not at the same level it did a year ago. If you own one in strong condition with desirable equipment, you may still attract interest, but pricing discipline will matter.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Subaru WRX safe?

The Subaru WRX earns Top Safety Pick recognition from the IIHS and a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The WRX comes standard with front- and side-impact airbags, traction control, and a tire-pressure monitoring system. EyeSight adds forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control, while blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and reverse automatic emergency braking are also available.

One important caveat is that EyeSight is optional on the WRX rather than standard across the lineup, so you should confirm the exact trim and equipment before buying.

Should I buy a 2020 Subaru WRX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 WRX is presented as a road-going expression of Subaru’s rally heritage, with standard all-wheel drive and a manual transmission available.

The bottom line: The 2020 WRX makes the most sense if you want the classic formula of turbocharged performance, standard all-wheel drive, and everyday usability in a used sports sedan. If you are especially price-sensitive, the current market softness gives you a good reason to shop this year carefully and compare condition, trim, and equipment before stepping up to a newer model.
