Used 2020 Nissan Rogue for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

How much does the 2020 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 15.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 604 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 6/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, driving experience, cargo space, and gas mileage, which makes it appealing if you value everyday usability. The expert assessment also points to its stylish design and practical packaging as strengths. The trade-offs are clear, though: the Rogue is described as somewhat dated, with sluggish performance and unintuitive technology. If you want a familiar compact crossover that prioritises comfort and practicality over brisk acceleration or the latest interface, it still fits that brief. Good and great deals account for 31.8% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with comfort and useful everyday features standing out over time. The expert assessment reinforces that the Rogue is a familiar, easy-to-live-with compact crossover, and its practical nature supports confidence for routine use. NissanConnect Services also includes remote access features and safety-oriented functions, which can add convenience in daily ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age-related wear and maintenance history matter more here than in a newer redesign.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Rogue is offered in S, SV, and SL Platinum trim levels. The S is the simplest version, while higher trims add more equipment and a more polished feel; the SL Platinum stands out with 19-inch aluminium alloy wheels and a more upscale presentation.
• Powertrain: You get a single 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT. It is adequate for daily driving, but it can feel slow when merging, passing, or climbing grades.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward-collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Rear Door Alert and Tire Fill Alert are also included, while features such as automatic high beams, pedestrian detection, rear automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane change intervention, a surround-view camera, and ProPilot Assist are available on some trims or as options.
• Infotainment: The Rogue uses a 7-inch touchscreen. Standard equipment includes Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a hands-free text messaging assistant. Navigation, Bose audio, and NissanConnect Services are available, but the interface can feel slow and dated.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rogue is rated at 8.7 L/100 km combined in Canadian all-wheel-drive form, and testing returned 9.4 L/100 km on a mixed route.

Which 2020 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SL Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the most affordable way into the Rogue, and it makes sense if you mainly want the Rogue’s comfort, cargo space, and standard Safety Shield 360 without paying for extras you may not use.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more convenience and equipment while staying closer to the Rogue’s practical, everyday mission.
• SL Platinum: Choose this if you want the most upscale Rogue experience, including the more premium look and feel highlighted by the 19-inch wheels and richer equipment mix.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, but some advanced driver-assistance features remain optional depending on trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 604 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.86% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,533 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $17,533 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,837 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you are buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment. If the market stays well supplied, your Rogue may need stronger condition, lower kilometres, or a better trim to stand out later. The model’s practical appeal and broad owner satisfaction should help support demand, but age and technology datedness can weigh on resale if the vehicle is not well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with three-star protection for the driver in a frontal-impact collision, and it does not earn a Top Safety Pick designation from IIHS.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard and bundles forward-collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Rear Door Alert and Tire Fill Alert are also included, and available upgrades can add automatic high beams, pedestrian detection, rear automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane change intervention, a surround-view camera, and ProPilot Assist with lane-centring capability.

The main caveat is that the Rogue’s crash-test performance reflects its age, especially the lower frontal-impact result that keeps it from stronger recognition.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers a familiar, practical compact-crossover package with useful cargo space and comfort.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,359 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $17,533 CAD average.
• It was redesigned from the top down, bringing a new engine and a much newer platform.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the lower purchase price and are comfortable with older tech and modest performance. Consider the 2021 if you can stretch your budget for a more modern redesign and broader improvements.
