Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.79/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, and spacious interior, and many also like the luxury features and advanced technology. For you, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical three-row midsize SUV with family-friendly space, comfort, and useful capability. With 35.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market flexibility for shoppers who are ready to compare carefully.

Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.79/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable, with comments centred on strong performance, a smooth ride, and a cabin that holds up well in daily use. That kind of feedback suggests the Pathfinder can be a reassuring choice if you want something you can count on for family duties and regular driving.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright satisfaction and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained properly before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 119 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.14% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,198 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $21,373 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,485 CAD.

That price movement tells you the market has cooled, which can make the Pathfinder easier to buy now but may also mean future sellers need to price more competitively. If you own one for a few years, the current trend suggests resale values may stay under pressure unless demand strengthens. Even so, a well-kept example with the right equipment and condition should still appeal to family buyers looking for space and capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.79/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.79/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the better-equipped, more modern-feeling Pathfinder with strong owner approval, the 2020 is the better primary target. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, a nearby year may be worth a look, but you should expect to trade away some of the 2020’s updated feel and feature set.
