Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.79/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, and spacious interior, and many also like the luxury features and advanced technology, especially the heated seats and navigation system. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a practical three-row midsize SUV with family-friendly space and useful everyday capability. With 36.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still a decent amount of market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.79/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth ride and powerful performance. That kind of response suggests you can count on it as a family SUV if you prioritise comfort and utility over flashier driving dynamics. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained properly and that any wear items have been addressed before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 114 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.97% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,188 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $21,188 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,519 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Pathfinder easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The model’s broad family appeal and practical three-row layout should help keep it relevant with used buyers, especially if it’s well equipped and in good condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.79/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.79/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the most appealing mix of value, equipment, and owner satisfaction, the 2020 is the stronger choice to focus on. If your priority is simply finding the lowest entry price, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2020 gives you a better balance of current pricing and buyer appeal.
