• Inventory: There are 206 listings available.

What is the 2020 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $19,424 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,048 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably today, but it also means future resale expectations should be measured rather than aggressive. If you plan to sell later, the current market suggests you may not recover as much as a buyer paid a year ago. Even so, the model’s strong owner satisfaction and premium feel can help keep it attractive to used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,278 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $19,424 CAD average.
• It adds a turbocharged engine for stronger performance.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and a strong ownership reputation. If you are willing to spend more for extra performance, the 2021 is the better upgrade path; if price matters most, the 2020 is the smarter buy.
