Used 2020 Lexus RX for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2020 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 3.53% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 88 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2020 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Lexus RX earns a 4.88/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Cost effectiveness.

You’ll see the same strengths come up repeatedly in owner feedback: luxury feel, comfort, reliability, a spacious interior, and a smooth ride. The RX is also framed as a midsize luxury SUV that can suit either two-row or three-row needs, so it works well if you want flexibility in passenger space.

The trade-offs are just as consistent. The technology is described as unintuitive, and the expert notes also point to dated centre-stack design and a cabin that can feel busy with buttons.

With 29.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s enough market activity to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

Is the 2020 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary repeatedly points to reliability, and it also highlights the RX as a vehicle people feel good about living with over time. The expert notes reinforce that dependability with a smooth-shifting transmission, composed road manners, and a cabin that stays quiet in everyday driving.

The RX also benefits from a maintenance-friendly ownership story, with Lexus including a three-year subscription to Lexus Enform Safety Connect and a 10-year subscription to Enform Service Connect.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that some of the convenience and connectivity features may not feel as polished as the rest of the vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Lexus RX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RX line includes two-row and three-row versions, with the three-row model carrying the Lexus RX-L name. Standard equipment is generous, including heated and ventilated front seats, heated outboard second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, heated exterior mirrors, leather seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The F Sport appearance packages add a unique steering wheel and shift knob, aluminum pedals, bumpers, grille, badges, front seats, aluminium ornamentation, and 20-inch wheels.
• Powertrain: The RX 350 uses a 3.5-litre V6 with an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. The RX 450h hybrid pairs the V6 with an electric motor, while the RX 450h L uses the same hybrid setup in the longer body. The hybrid is the efficiency standout.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard, with adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a backup camera, daytime bicyclist detection, low-light pedestrian detection, road-sign assist, and lane-tracing assist. Those features are standard across the range.
• Infotainment: The standard display is 8.0 inches, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen is available. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth. The system also supports Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Spotify, Pandora, Google Maps, Waze, Apple Music, Apple Maps, SiriusXM satellite radio, and WhatsApp compatibility.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX 350 is rated at 10.8 L/100 km combined, while the RX 350 L is rated at 11.1 L/100 km combined. The RX 450h uses 7.9 L/100 km combined, and the RX 450h L is rated at 8.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2020 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Lexus RX is offered in 4 trim levels: RX 350, RX 350 L, RX 450h, RX 450h L.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350: This is the best-value choice if you want the core RX experience with the standard V6, standard all-wheel drive, and the full comfort and safety feature set. It gives you the smoothest path into the lineup without paying for extra size or hybrid hardware.
• RX 350 L: Choose this if you need the three-row layout and want the same basic RX formula with added passenger flexibility. It suits buyers who value seating versatility more than outright efficiency.
• RX 450h: This is the pick if fuel efficiency matters most and you still want the RX’s comfort-first character. It adds hybrid power and is the strongest fit for buyers who expect to spend a lot of time behind the wheel.
• RX 450h L: Go here only if you want the three-row body and the hybrid powertrain together. It’s the most specialised choice in the lineup, so it makes sense if you need both extra seating and better efficiency.

Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard across the range, so you do not need to move up trims to get the core driver-assistance suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 88 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.53% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,111 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $40,073 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,540 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the RX is currently more accessible to used buyers than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that can mean less room for appreciation in the near term, especially if the market continues to favour shoppers.

Even so, the RX still benefits from a strong reputation for comfort, luxury feel, and reliability. Those traits help support demand when it’s time to resell, particularly if the vehicle is well maintained and equipped with desirable features.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Lexus RX safe?

The 2020 Lexus RX has received good safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a backup camera, daytime bicyclist detection, low-light pedestrian detection, road-sign assist, and lane-tracing assist. Lexus also includes a three-year subscription to Lexus Enform Safety Connect and a 10-year subscription to Enform Service Connect.

One caveat is that the connected emergency service can be inconsistent in real-world use, so you should not assume every convenience feature will work flawlessly every time.

Should I buy a 2020 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model year adds daytime bicyclist detection, low-light pedestrian detection, road-sign assist, and lane-tracing assist as standard equipment.

The bottom line: The 2020 RX makes the most sense if you want the comfort-first Lexus formula with strong owner satisfaction and a softer used-market price than last year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, this model year is worth a close look because the current market gives you some negotiating room without forcing you to give up the RX’s core strengths.
