Is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.77/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its strong performance, comfortable ride, and spacious, well-equipped interior. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a compact SUV with everyday usability and some extra capability, especially if you value a more adventure-ready character than many crossovers offer. Is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.77/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a comfortable ride and a well-equipped cabin, and many owners describe the vehicle positively over time. The same feedback also points to a generally dependable ownership experience for shoppers who want a used SUV they can count on. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is finding a vehicle that has been maintained consistently, since any SUV with mixed owner feedback deserves a careful inspection before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re comparing listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 502 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,268 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $21,407 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,104 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Cherokee has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. If you buy at the right price now, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. The current inventory and deal mix also suggest buyers have enough choice to be selective, which can keep resale pressure in check.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.77/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.77/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Jeep Cherokee makes the most sense if you want a used SUV with strong owner approval, a comfortable ride, and enough inventory to compare prices carefully. If your priority is value, this is a good year to target because prices have eased and there are still plenty of listings to shop. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep an eye out for listings near the low end of the range and be ready to move quickly when you find one.
