Used 2020 Honda Pilot for Sale near Quebec

How much does the 2020 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 10.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 209 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Pilot earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Safety.

You get a strong mix of spacious interior packaging, responsive handling, and overall comfort, and owners also praise its performance and fuel efficiency. In practical terms, that lines up well with its family-first mission: lots of cargo space, an adult-friendly third row, and a useful standard safety list.

The trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and interior materials that feel cheap. It’s best suited to you if you want a three-row SUV that prioritises everyday usefulness over flash, and the market shows 30.1% of listings are good or great deals.

Is the 2020 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as very satisfied with its performance, comfort, and fuel efficiency, and they also highlight its spacious interior and responsive handling. The ownership picture is helped by the Pilot’s reputation for being a vehicle you can count on for family duty and day-to-day use.

Honda’s V6 and standard AWD setup are presented as durable, real-world-friendly hardware, and the Pilot’s refined ride supports that dependable character. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher city fuel consumption and towing limitations may matter more as the vehicle ages into heavier family use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Pilot?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is a solid value in Canada with standard all-wheel drive, 18-inch alloy wheels, tri-zone climate control, remote keyless entry, remote start, heated front seats, push-button start, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, power locks, and power windows with a one-touch driver’s window. The EX adds a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, LED fog lights, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, roof rails, and a power moonroof. The EX-L adds leather upholstery, a power liftgate, a heated steering wheel, second-row outboard heated seats and in-door sunshades, a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, and on-board navigation and SiriusXM satellite radio. The Touring adds 20-inch wheels, blue ambient interior lighting, an upgraded stereo, a massive panoramic sunroof in seven-seat configuration, heated and ventilated front seats, auto on-off LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and plenty of additional on-board tech. The Black Edition is based on the Touring trim and adds unique 20-inch black-painted wheels, black exterior paint, black grille and accents, and red interior lighting.
• Powertrain: A 3.5-litre V6 powers every trim, with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. The LX, EX, and EX-L use a 6-speed automatic, while the Touring and Black Edition get a 9-speed automatic that provides more refined acceleration and should help fuel efficiency.
• Safety package: HondaSensing is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist and lane-departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Optional safety equipment includes front and rear parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: All trims get Honda’s Display Audio 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Bluetooth connectivity and a USB port are included on the base trim, while SiriusXM satellite radio is added from the EX-L trim. Navigation is added on the EX-L, and a rear entertainment system and Wi-Fi hotspot are standard on the Touring and Black Edition.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates versions with the 6-speed automatic at 13.0 L/100 km in city driving, 9.3 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.3 L/100 km combined. With the 9-speed automatic, those numbers change to 12.4 L/100 km city, 9.3 L/100 km highway, and 11.0 L/100 km combined.

Which 2020 Honda Pilot trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Pilot is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the best-value starting point if you want the Pilot’s core strengths without paying for extras you may not need. You still get standard AWD, heated front seats, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Honda’s full safety suite.
• EX: Choose this if you want a more comfortable daily driver, thanks to the power-adjustable driver’s seat, moonroof, roof rails, and LED fog lights.
• EX-L: This is the trim that most clearly balances equipment and value, because it adds leather, a power liftgate, heated second-row outboard seats, a heated steering wheel, and navigation.
• Touring: Step up here if you want the richer tech and comfort upgrades, including the upgraded stereo, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and rear entertainment system.
• Black Edition: Pick this only if you want the Touring equipment with the blacked-out appearance package and red interior lighting.

HondaSensing is standard across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim for the core safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Pilot?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 209 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,159 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $29,543 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,948 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Pilot has moved into a more buyer-friendly part of its lifecycle, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who bought when prices were higher.

The Pilot’s broad family appeal, standard safety equipment, and strong owner satisfaction should help keep demand steady. Even so, resale value will likely depend on trim, condition, and whether the vehicle has been priced competitively against newer rivals.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Pilot safe?

The Honda Pilot earns a five-star overall crash test rating from NHTSA and a Good rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

HondaSensing is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist and lane-departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Front and side-impact airbags, child-seat anchors, Vehicle Stability Assist, and traction control are also standard.

Optional safety equipment includes front and rear parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. The standard safety package is a major strength, and it helps explain why the Pilot remains appealing for family buyers.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers tons of cargo space, an adult-friendly third row, and standard safety features.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,949 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $29,543 CAD average.
• It has a more polished all-around interior, powertrain, and technology package.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the smarter buy because prices have eased and inventory is decent. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer-feeling Pilot, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
