Used 2020 Honda Pilot for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2020 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 10.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 203 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2020 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Pilot earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, responsive handling, comfort, and practical family-friendly layout. The Pilot’s three-row packaging and cargo space also come through as recurring strengths, which fits its role as a versatile SUV for families who need room and everyday usability.

The main trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and interior materials that feel cheap. It’s also not the segment leader it once was, so if you want the freshest-feeling cabin or the most polished tech experience, you may want to compare alternatives.

With 28.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still a healthy share of attractive inventory if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centred on comfort, performance, and everyday usefulness. The Pilot’s strong reputation for spaciousness and responsive driving manners also supports the sense that it’s a vehicle you can count on over time.

Its long-term ownership risk is more about wear-and-tear items and satisfaction with the tech than major confidence issues, so a careful used-car inspection still matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Pilot?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is a solid value in Canada with standard all-wheel drive, 18-inch alloy wheels, tri-zone climate control, remote keyless entry, remote start, heated front seats, push-button start, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, power locks, and power windows with a one-touch driver’s window. The EX adds a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, LED fog lights, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, roof rails, and a power moonroof. The EX-L adds leather upholstery, a power liftgate, a heated steering wheel, second-row outboard heated seats and in-door sunshades, a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, and on-board navigation and SiriusXM satellite radio. The Touring adds 20-inch wheels, blue ambient interior lighting, an upgraded stereo, a panoramic sunroof in seven-seat configuration, heated and ventilated front seats, auto on-off LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and more on-board tech. The Black Edition is based on the Touring trim and adds unique black-painted wheels, black exterior paint, black grille and accents, and red interior lighting.
• Powertrain: A 3.5-litre V6 powers every trim, with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. LX, EX, and EX-L trims use a 6-speed automatic, while Touring and Black Edition models get a 9-speed automatic that provides more refined acceleration and should help fuel efficiency.
• Safety package: HondaSensing is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane-departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Front and side-impact airbags, child-seat anchors, Vehicle Stability Assist, and traction control are also standard. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and front and rear parking sensors are optional.
• Infotainment: All trims get Honda’s Display Audio 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Bluetooth connectivity and a USB port are included on the base trim. SiriusXM satellite radio is added from the EX-L trim, while navigation is added on the EX-L and a rear entertainment system and Wi-Fi hotspot are standard on the Touring and Black Edition. Those top trims also receive a 590-watt, 11-speaker premium audio system and wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates versions with the 6-speed automatic at 13.0 L/100 km city, 9.3 L/100 km highway, and 11.3 L/100 km combined. With the 9-speed automatic, those figures improve to 12.4 L/100 km city, 9.3 L/100 km highway, and 11.0 L/100 km combined.

Which 2020 Honda Pilot trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Pilot is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the best-value starting point if you want the core Pilot experience without paying for extras you may not need. You still get standard all-wheel drive, HondaSensing, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated front seats, remote start, and tri-zone climate control, which makes it a strong family-friendly pick.
• EX: Choose this if you want a more comfortable daily driver thanks to the power-adjustable driver’s seat, power moonroof, roof rails, and LED fog lights. It’s a sensible step up if you want a bit more convenience without jumping too far in price.
• EX-L: This is the trim that adds the most useful everyday upgrades, including leather upholstery, a power liftgate, heated steering wheel, heated second-row outboard seats, navigation, and SiriusXM. It’s the sweet spot for many used buyers because it balances comfort and equipment well.
• Touring: Move here if you want the richer tech and comfort experience, including the upgraded stereo, panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, rear entertainment system, Wi-Fi hotspot, and premium audio. It suits you best if you regularly carry passengers and want a more upscale feel.
• Black Edition: Pick this only if you specifically want the Touring equipment with the blacked-out appearance package and red interior lighting. It’s the most style-focused choice rather than the best value.

HondaSensing is standard across the range, so you don’t need to move up trims for the core safety suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 203 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.58% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,161 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $29,621 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,125 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you’re buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment. If prices continue to normalise, you should expect used values to depend more heavily on condition, trim, and equipment than on model-year prestige alone.

Strong demand for practical three-row SUVs can still help support resale, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment. Lower entry pricing today may also make the Pilot easier to move later if it remains appealing to family buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Pilot safe?

The Honda Pilot earns a five-star overall crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). It also earns the best crash test score of Good from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

HondaSensing is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane-departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Front and side-impact airbags, child-seat anchors, Vehicle Stability Assist, and traction control are also standard.

If you want blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert or front and rear parking sensors, you’ll need to look for a vehicle equipped with those optional features.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers standard HondaSensing, a spacious cabin, and strong family practicality.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $32,004 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $29,621 CAD average.
• It keeps the Pilot’s useful interior and adds a more refined overall feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the smarter buy because prices have eased and owner satisfaction remains strong. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2021 is worth a look, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2020.
