Is the 2019 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. You get a practical three-row SUV with a spacious interior, a smooth ride, and family-friendly features that make daily use easier. The Pilot’s generous cargo space and comfortable second and third rows are especially appealing if you need a versatile family hauler. With 28.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with praise centred on comfort and everyday usability. That said, some owners mention minor concerns such as soundproofing and transmission performance, so it’s worth checking service records and test-driving carefully. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure any example you consider has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 153 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.30% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,360 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $25,360 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,298 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pilot has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your resale upside may be more limited unless you choose a well-kept example with strong equipment and history. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $29,621 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $25,360 CAD average.
• It adds a more refined standard safety and tech package.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better value if you want a spacious, family-focused SUV at a lower entry price. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer model year’s added polish, the 2020 is the secondary path to consider.
