Is the 2020 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, comfort, and user-friendly features, and many also like the luxurious feel and updated technology. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a family minivan that is easy to live with and well equipped for daily use. With 31.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market choice if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable, comfortable, and easy to count on for family use. The emphasis on spaciousness and user-friendly features also suggests a minivan that tends to deliver steady day-to-day utility over the long term. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that early-generation issues can still show up, so a careful inspection and maintenance review matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 171 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,165 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $29,069 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,848 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Odyssey easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Strong demand from family buyers can still help support values, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• It adds improved safety, upgraded technology, enhanced utility, and refreshed styling.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want a well-equipped family minivan at a softer price point. If you’re more focused on the latest updates and can stretch your budget, the 2021 is the better alternative; if value matters most, the 2020 remains the smarter buy.
