This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 62 listings available.

What is the 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback's resale value?

The current average of $22,081 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,241 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal for future resale: it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point now, but it also means the market has already adjusted downward. If prices stabilise, a well-kept example could hold value better than a neglected one. Strong demand from shoppers who value the Civic Hatchback's efficiency and driving feel should continue to support resale interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want a well-liked hatchback with strong owner satisfaction and a market that has become a bit more buyer-friendly. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2020 remains the better pick when you want a balance of value, demand, and owner approval.
