Used 2020 Honda CR-V for Sale nearLondon, ON

How much does the 2020 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have softened 11.50% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 764 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2020 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda CR-V earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its spacious cabin, excellent features, and strong performance, and they also value the advanced technology and safety equipment for the price. The main trade-offs are the outdated technology and the interior materials that can feel cheap. For you, that means the CR-V makes the most sense if you want a practical compact SUV that covers the basics well and suits everyday family use. With 28.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers describing the CR-V as a vehicle they can count on. The expert drive notes also reinforce that it is a well-sorted, capable crossover rather than a complicated one. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core mechanical package and more about choosing a trim that gives you the features you want without overpaying.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda CR-V?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX is front-wheel drive and starts with fabric seating, while higher trims add leather, larger wheels, moonroof equipment, roof rails, and more upscale touches. The biggest feature gaps at the bottom of the range are the simpler cabin materials and the lack of some convenience equipment.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT. It is tuned for smooth, efficient everyday driving rather than sporty performance.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning and road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control with lane-keeping assist, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring starts on Sport and above, while rear cross-traffic monitoring is limited to Touring and Black Edition.
• Infotainment: The standard 7-inch touchscreen includes Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Touring and Black Edition add navigation and a wireless phone charger, but the system is still dated and can be awkward to use.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 7.7 L/100 km combined, while AWD models are rated at 8.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2020 Honda CR-V trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda CR-V is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it is the least compelling choice if you want the best mix of value and equipment. It gives you the CR-V basics, yet it misses some of the comfort and convenience upgrades that make the higher trims easier to live with.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers. It adds the equipment that makes the CR-V feel more complete, including 19-inch wheels, a heated steering wheel, blind-spot display, a moonroof, and a 12-way power driver’s seat.
• EX-L: This trim is worth a look if you want a more upscale cabin without jumping all the way to the top. It adds leather upholstery, heated rear outboard seats, wood-look inserts, and SiriusXM satellite radio capability.
• Touring: This is the better pick if you want the most convenience and tech, including navigation, a wireless phone charger, rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic moonroof, and upgraded blind-spot monitoring.
• Black Edition: This is the most fully equipped version, but it is the hardest to justify on value alone. It layers on cosmetic upgrades and the same premium equipment as Touring, plus LED headlights.

Only Sport trims and above get blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic monitoring is reserved for Touring and Black Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 764 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,471 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $25,471 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,779 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour now, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations if the market stays competitive. The CR-V’s broad appeal and strong reputation should help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment. Trim choice matters, though, because better-equipped versions are more likely to stand out when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda CR-V safe?

The 2020 Honda CR-V earned a Top Safety Pick designation from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA, including five-star frontal and side crash ratings and a four-star rollover rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control with lane-keeping assist, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring is limited to Sport and above, while rear cross-traffic monitoring is limited to Touring and Black Edition. One caveat is that the halogen headlights on trims below Touring scored only Marginal in IIHS testing.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 brings engine and safety upgrades that improve fuel efficiency and value.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $22,388 CAD, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $25,471 CAD average.
• It is refined, roomy, and historically reliable.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,396 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,471 CAD average.
• It remains broadly appealing with strong safety, space, and fuel economy.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, safety, and everyday usability, the 2020 is the smart default. If your budget is tighter, the 2019 is the value play; if you want to compare against a newer year, the 2021 is worth a look, but you will pay more for it.
