How much does the 2018 Honda CR-V cost?

There are 774 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the CR-V for its great value, comfort, spacious interior, good gas mileage, and useful tech features. That lines up well with its practical, family-friendly focus, especially if you want a roomy compact crossover that is easy to live with. With 28.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free in everyday use, with buyers repeatedly highlighting comfort, value, and the kind of ownership experience you can count on. That kind of reputation matters if you plan to keep the vehicle for the long term.

For used buyers, the main risk is paying too much for a well-liked model, so condition and maintenance history still matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 774 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.16% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,271 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $20,306 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,119 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the current average, future depreciation may be gentler than it was a year ago, but the CR-V’s value will still depend heavily on mileage, condition, and trim. Strong demand for practical compact crossovers should continue to support interest from used shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $22,251 CAD, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $20,306 CAD average.
• It adds a more refined, roomy feel with lively performance and strong everyday appeal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the better value if you want the CR-V formula at a lower entry price and you are comfortable shopping carefully. If you want to spend more for a newer year with a more polished overall impression, the 2019 is the better secondary path.
