Is the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — 4.7/5 is a strong user rating for the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado. It stands out as a midsize pickup that balances everyday usability with real capability, and it offers a good blend of comfort and utility. If you want a truck that can do more than basic commuting, its towing strength and available off-road hardware are major draws. With 25.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2020 Colorado does have a reputation for transmission issues, and the base four-cylinder and WT trims are not the strongest choices in the range. Even so, it remains appealing because it offers good value and useful equipment, especially in its mid-range and higher trims. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is worth factoring in carefully, particularly if you are considering a lower-spec example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 116 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.80% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,725 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $28,121 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,930 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current trend implies you may not see rapid appreciation, so condition and trim choice will matter more when it comes time to resell. Well-equipped versions should hold broader appeal than the base truck.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Colorado makes the most sense if you want a capable midsize pickup with solid value and enough inventory to compare trims carefully. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to keep an eye on nearby model years as well, but the 2020 is a sensible primary target when you want a balanced mix of utility and market value.
