The user feedback repeatedly points to reliability, longevity, and a truck that owners feel they can count on over time. What is the 2019 Toyota Tacoma's resale value?

The current average of $38,443 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,104 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also suggests future resale may not climb quickly from today’s level. If you plan to sell later, the Tacoma’s strong reputation should help support demand, especially among buyers who want a durable midsize truck with proven appeal. Even so, the current market shows that pricing has eased, so your eventual resale outcome will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and trim.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.22/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.22/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $40,041 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $38,443 CAD average.
• It adds updated design and technology.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable with the Tacoma’s rugged, no-nonsense character. Consider the 2020 if you want the newer updates and are willing to pay a bit more; if price matters most, the 2019 is the smarter starting point.
