What is the 2019 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $40,698 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,167 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should be grounded in the current market rather than last year’s higher pricing. If demand stays steady, the truck’s strong owner satisfaction should help support values better than a less-liked competitor.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $43,197 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $40,698 CAD average.
• It adds a more luxurious and innovative feel.

The bottom line:
The 2019 is the better starting point if you want strong value, broad inventory, and proven owner satisfaction. If you are willing to spend more for a newer-feeling cabin and a more premium presentation, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
