Is the 2019 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.58/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the truck’s performance, comfort, and towing capability, and they also like the powerful Cummins diesel engine and upscale interior features. For you, that means the 2019 RAM 2500 makes the most sense if you want a heavy-duty truck that still feels comfortable and well equipped for daily use or towing. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.58/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to heavy-duty buyers, especially when it comes to performance, towing, and the Cummins diesel engine. That kind of confidence matters if you plan to keep the truck for the long haul and want something you can count on for demanding use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 209 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,425 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $40,425 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,506 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. If you plan to resell later, the current discount gives you a lower entry point, but you should still expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.58/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.58/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $42,462 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $40,425 CAD average.
• It adds an especially luxurious and innovative heavy-duty feel.

The bottom line:
You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the better value and a strong mix of capability, comfort, and owner satisfaction. If you are less price-sensitive and want a newer model year with a more upscale presentation, the 2020 is the better alternative.
