Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 5/5 user rating, and it fits you well if you want a luxury SUV with a premium feel, a conservative family-friendly character, and a quiet, comfortable, spacious cabin. It was well equipped in Canada, with standard 4Matic all-wheel drive and an automatic transmission, and it offers a broad range of powertrains and available features for buyers who want substance and polish rather than a flashy personality.

With 30.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully and find value.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE is described as a familiar, conventional luxury SUV with a reputation for being quiet, comfortable, and spacious, which supports confidence if you want a polished daily driver. That said, electrical glitches are not unknown, and the air suspension fitted to some versions can be problematic and expensive to fix.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a version with costly suspension or electrical issues, so a careful inspection matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently and focus on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 134 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,999 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $39,999 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,913 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can make the model more approachable for you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the vehicle is especially well kept and attractively equipped. The broad appeal of a quiet, comfortable, spacious luxury SUV can still help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the more conventional, comfortable, and well-equipped first-generation GLE experience, the 2019 is the year to focus on. If your priority is newer design, more space, and a broader technology leap, a different year may suit you better; if price is your main concern, the 2019 offers a sensible path into the model with some room to negotiate.
