Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a well-liked used SUV. Drivers consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, and array of features, while the spacious interior and V6 performance also come up often as strengths. If you want a used SUV with a distinctive design but a more mainstream appearance than the original launch version, this model year fits that brief well. With 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s also a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find comfortable, smooth, and dependable in day-to-day use, with the kind of features that make it easy to live with over time. That said, some shoppers mention tech issues and missing convenience features on lower trims, so you’ll want to check the specific vehicle’s equipment and condition carefully.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the individual vehicle has been maintained properly and that any past transmission-related concerns have been addressed.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 426 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.25% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,726 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $17,837 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,298 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Cherokee easier to buy now but may also mean future sellers need to price more competitively. If you own one for a few years, the current softness could limit short-term upside, especially if the broader market stays well supplied.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better pick if you want the refreshed styling, standard 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the more practical cabin updates. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2019 is the stronger choice if you value the updated look and improved everyday usability.
