Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its comfort, smooth ride, and array of features, while the spacious interior and value for money also come through as recurring positives. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a used SUV with updated styling, improved standard tech, and a more practical cabin than earlier versions. Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable in day-to-day use, with comfort and value helping support confidence over time. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to service history and any signs of past transmission concerns, since long-term ownership risk can vary by individual vehicle.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be patient and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 28.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 428 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.77% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,723 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $17,764 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,343 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the model easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to protect value later. The fact that demand is still supported by a meaningful share of good or great deals also suggests active shopper interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of updated styling, standard tech, and a more spacious cabin, the 2019 is the stronger all-around choice. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2019 stands out as the more appealing pick for shoppers who want a better-equipped Cherokee without moving to a newer generation.
