Is the 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty reliable?

The owner feedback points to a truck that many drivers can count on for demanding work, especially when it comes to power and towing. For long-term ownership, the safest approach is to prioritise well-documented examples and avoid trucks with signs of hard use or deferred upkeep.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Inventory: There are 73 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,118 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $41,488 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,852 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. You are not looking at a steep drop in value, but you also should not expect rapid appreciation from this model year. Trucks with strong demand and broad appeal tend to hold value better, and this one’s capability-focused reputation helps support that. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.55/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.55/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $43,161 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $41,488 CAD average.
• It adds a more balanced feel for buyers who want strong capability with everyday usability.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better starting point if you want strong capability and a slightly lower average price. If you are price-sensitive, it makes sense to focus on the 2019 first and only move to the 2020 if you find a compelling example or want to pay more for its added balance.
