Is the 2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty a good car?

The 2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty stands out because it blends serious heavy-duty capability with a level of comfort and technology that makes it easier to live with every day. It is built on a beefy frame of its own, and Ford gives it a wide spread of powertrain choices, including a standard 6.8-litre gas V8, an available 7.3-litre “Godzilla” V8 on higher trims, and a high-output 6.7-litre Power Stroke turbodiesel V8.

Ford also loaded this generation with features that make it feel modern rather than purely work-focused. The base model gets an 8.0-inch infotainment screen, higher trims can have a 12.0-inch display and a configurable 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available. A 5G WiFi hotspot is standard, and the truck can be equipped with useful tools such as onboard scales, trailer-aware surround-view monitoring, adaptive cruise control with lane centring, trailer navigation, and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist.

For buyers, the appeal is straightforward: the 2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty offers huge capability, a broad trim range from work truck to luxury model, and enough technology to make a big truck easier to use. 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty reliable?

The 2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty is presented as a heavy-duty truck that combines serious capability with everyday usability, which is a strong sign for buyers who want a truck that can do hard work without feeling stripped down. Its broad powertrain spread and modern technology features also suggest a well-developed package aimed at long-term utility.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a truck built for maximum towing and hauling can become costly if it has been worked hard or maintained inconsistently.

What is the 2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $73,177 CAD sits slightly below last year's $73,465 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you plan to resell later. For a future seller, that usually means pricing matters more than timing, especially if your truck is in strong condition and well equipped.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $62,417 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $73,177 CAD average.
• It is a well-rounded heavy-duty pickup with broad trim flexibility.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $81,422 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $73,177 CAD average.
• It adds unbeaten towing strength and a broader luxury-tech mix.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want a balanced mix of capability, technology, and market stability. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newest capability and are willing to pay more for it.
