Used 2019 Ford Edge for Sale near Nova Scotia

How much does the 2019 Ford Edge cost?

Prices have softened 17.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 375 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Ford Edge a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Ford Edge earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its performance, comfort, and features, and they also call out the spacious interior that works well for families and long trips. That lines up with the Edge’s role as a midsize, two-row SUV built around practical passenger space and cargo capacity. It also stands out for offering an ST trim, which broadens its appeal if you want everyday utility with a performance edge. With 32.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2019 Ford Edge reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with strong power and comfort supporting the impression that you can count on it for family duty and longer drives. The expert evaluation also describes the non-ST engine as one that “gets the job done and won’t let you down,” which reinforces the Edge’s reputation for straightforward, trouble-free use. Ford’s Co-Pilot360 safety suite and the available Sync 3 setup add to the sense that the Edge is built to be easy to live with over the long term.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the dated cabin and missing convenience features will bother you over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Ford Edge?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE starts with 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, and push-button start, while the SEL adds roof rails, heated front seats, and rear parking sensors. The Titanium brings leather upholstery, a wireless charging pad, remote start, and a Bang & Olufsen 12-speaker premium sound system, while the ST adds blacked-out styling, 20-inch machined aluminium wheels, and an upgraded exhaust. The SEL is the best-value choice if you want a more complete feature set without stepping all the way up to the ST.
• Powertrain: Non-ST trims use Ford’s 2.0-litre EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder with 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. The ST upgrades to a 2.7-litre EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 with 335 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque, and it is tuned for much stronger acceleration.
• Safety package: Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, automatic high-beams, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Above the SE, you can add Co-Pilot360 Assist+, which brings adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, evasive steering assist, and lane-centreing.
• Infotainment: The base system uses a 4.2-inch non-touchscreen display with USB, WiFi hotspot capability, streaming music, Bluetooth, and voice recognition. An 8-inch Sync 3 system is available on the SEL and standard on the Titanium and ST, and it adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The most efficient version uses 10.9 L/100 km in the city, 8.0 on the highway, and 9.6 combined. With AWD, those figures rise to 11.4 city, 8.3 highway, and 10.0 combined. The ST uses 12.6 L/100 km city, 9.2 highway, and 11.0 combined.

Which 2019 Ford Edge trim should I buy?

The 2019 Ford Edge is offered in 4 trim levels: SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, but its 4.2-inch infotainment setup feels basic, and the cabin’s dated presentation is most obvious here. It makes sense only if you want the lowest-cost way into the Edge.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim. It adds heated front seats, rear parking sensors, roof rails, and access to the better 8-inch Sync 3 system, while still staying more affordable than the upper trims.
• Titanium: Choose this if you want a more upscale Edge, with leather upholstery, remote start, a wireless charging pad, and the premium 12-speaker audio system.
• ST: This is the performance choice, with the stronger 2.7-litre V6, sportier styling, and a more engaging driving character. It suits you best if you want the Edge’s practicality with real speed.

Co-Pilot360 is standard across the lineup, and Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is available on trims above the SE.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Edge?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 375 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,432 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Edge's resale value?

The current average of $17,496 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,267 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Edge has moved into a more buyer-friendly part of its lifecycle, which can make future resale gains harder to count on in the short term. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less depreciation risk than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average. The model’s broad appeal as a roomy family SUV should still help support demand, especially for well-equipped examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Ford Edge safe?

The 2019 Ford Edge earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, automatic high-beams, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Above the SE, Co-Pilot360 Assist+ adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, evasive steering assist, and lane-centreing. The main caveat is that IIHS notes lacklustre headlight performance.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds the ST trim, giving the Edge a performance-focused option.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,606 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $17,496 CAD average.
• It adds more standard tech and safety equipment.

The bottom line: The 2019 makes the most sense if you want the lower price and are comfortable with its dated cabin. If you want a newer-feeling package and can spend more, the 2020 is the safer alternative.
