Is the 2019 Dodge Journey a good car?

The 2019 Dodge Journey can be a reasonable choice if you value space and practicality over polish, and its 3.6/5 user rating reflects that mixed reception.

Owners commonly praise the spacious three-row seating, the powerful V6 engine, and the usefulness of all-wheel drive and heated seats in cold weather. The interior design also gets positive mention, even as some reviewers want more storage and better acceleration.

With 29.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a fair number of attractive options to consider.

Is the 2019 Dodge Journey reliable?

Owners describe the 2019 Dodge Journey in mixed terms, but the feedback does point to some dependable traits, especially for buyers who want a straightforward family vehicle with familiar features. Reviewers also highlight its long-term usefulness in cold climates, where all-wheel drive and heated seats add confidence.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that some owners report concerns about stability, safety features, and backup camera quality, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Dodge Journey?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 89 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 27.80% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,924 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Dodge Journey's resale value?

The current average of $13,236 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,333 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has moved in buyers' favour, which can make the Journey easier to shop now than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that also means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the vehicle is especially well maintained or priced competitively. If you buy at the right number today, you may have less room for appreciation later, so condition and purchase price matter a lot.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Journey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 27.80% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2019 Dodge Journey makes sense if you want a lower-priced three-row SUV and you find one with strong condition and a competitive asking price. If you are especially price-sensitive, the current market gives you room to shop carefully and compare listings before committing.
