Is the 2019 Dodge Journey a good car?

With a user rating of 3.6/5, the 2019 Dodge Journey looks like a mixed but workable choice if you value space and practicality over polish. Owners commonly praise the spacious three-row seating, the powerful V6 engine, and the usefulness of all-wheel drive and heated seats in cold weather. The interior design also gets positive mention, even as some reviewers want more storage and better acceleration. 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Dodge Journey reliable?

Owners’ comments point to a vehicle that can be dependable for the right buyer, especially when you want a family hauler that handles winter conditions well and feels straightforward to live with. The feedback also suggests some long-term compromises, including concerns about safety features, the backup camera, and road stability. For used buyers, that means you should pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition before committing to ownership.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Dodge Journey?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 70 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,906 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Dodge Journey's resale value?

The current average of $14,338 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,136 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably today, but it also means future resale value may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, buying near the lower end of the range gives you a better chance of protecting your equity. For a future seller, the current trend suggests you should expect a more modest return than in a stronger pricing environment.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Journey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better fit if you want a lower entry price and are comfortable shopping selectively for value. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a similar Journey offers a better balance of price and availability.
