This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 368 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.53% compared with last year.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $16,025 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,971 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer resale environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy now, you are entering at a lower price point, which can help reduce depreciation exposure over your ownership period. The current inventory and deal mix also suggest that well-priced examples should continue to attract attention.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want a well-liked compact SUV with a roomy cabin, a more modern feel, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2019 is the stronger choice when you want the best balance of owner satisfaction, value, and everyday usability.
