How much does the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise the smooth ride, spacious interior, and good fuel economy, while also appreciating the powerful engine and the features that improve day-to-day driving. For you, that makes the 2019 Equinox a practical compact SUV if you want a roomy cabin and useful technology in a vehicle that fits everyday family or commuting needs. With 29.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the model’s smooth, trouble-free feel and the confidence they have in it over the long term. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for regular commuting and family use. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about broad reliability concerns and more about finding a well-kept example with the features and condition you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 383 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,001 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $16,002 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,969 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, the softer market can reduce your upfront cost, but future resale will depend on how well the vehicle holds demand over time. A model with steady owner satisfaction can still appeal to the next buyer, especially if it has been maintained properly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Equinox is a strong pick if you want the third-generation formula with a good owner rating, a spacious cabin, and a market that has become more favourable on price. If your priority is value, this year deserves a close look. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, equipment, and asking price.
