Is the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, spacious interior, and good fuel economy. Many also like the useful feature set and the way it balances everyday comfort with practical usability. In the context of a compact SUV, that makes it a sensible choice if you want room for passengers and a relaxed driving experience.

With 30.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers describing it as a vehicle they can count on over time. That lines up with the broader model guidance, which describes this generation as more reliable than what came before.

For used buyers, that generally lowers long-term ownership risk, especially if you choose a well-maintained example with a clean service history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 349 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,991 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $16,139 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,958 CAD.

That kind of price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy now, you may not see a dramatic rebound in value unless demand strengthens or you choose a particularly desirable trim and condition combination.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong pick if you want a spacious, comfortable compact SUV with a good owner satisfaction record and a market that currently favours shoppers. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be worth a look, but the 2019 remains the better all-around choice when you want a balanced mix of value, comfort, and confidence.
