Used 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

How much does the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan cost?

Prices have softened 17.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 473 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan a good car?

Yes — the 4.73/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its value for money, spacious interior, and luxurious features, and many also like the comfortable ride and handling. That lines up well if you want a compact SUV that prioritises practicality and refinement, especially for everyday family use and passengers who benefit from the Tiguan’s roomier cabin. With 27.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market flexibility for shoppers who are ready to compare carefully.

Is the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle many people find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on comfort, value, and a generally trouble-free ownership experience. At the same time, some drivers mention the engine could be more powerful, and there are minor complaints about the back seats being tight.

For used buyers, that means the Tiguan can make sense if you prioritise comfort and space, but you should still budget time for a thorough inspection because long-term ownership risk is not zero.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 473 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,793 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan's resale value?

The current average of $15,793 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,245 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the current average, your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Because the model has a broad appeal for space and comfort, cleaner examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Tiguan’s roomier seven-seat layout, comfortable ride, and upscale-feeling cabin, the 2018 is the better fit for most shoppers. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2018 stands out when you want a strong mix of value, space, and owner approval.
