Is the 2018 Subaru WRX a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Subaru WRX earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its fun driving experience, strong performance, excellent handling, and accessible power. It also fits well if you want a practical sports sedan with all-weather traction and everyday usability. With 25.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Subaru WRX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many people feel good about living with over time, especially because it is seen as dependable and enjoyable for both daily driving and spirited use. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition, since long-term ownership risk is always higher when a performance car has been driven hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Subaru WRX?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 122 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.69% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,337 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Subaru WRX's resale value?

The current average of $18,337 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,531 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the WRX more attractive to buyers now but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. If you buy at the right number and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect your position when it is time to sell. Demand should remain supported by the WRX's enthusiast appeal and practical all-weather setup.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Subaru WRX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 WRX is a strong choice if you want the updated version of this generation with broad appeal, solid owner satisfaction, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If your priority is the best value, you should focus on well-priced 2018 examples first; if you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing for a lower entry point.
