How much does the 2018 Subaru Legacy cost?

Prices have softened 25.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 54 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Subaru Legacy a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Subaru Legacy earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its excellent safety features, comfortable ride, and spacious interior, and they also highlight its good fuel economy and reliability. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a comfortable, secure midsize sedan with standard all-wheel drive and useful everyday technology. With 35.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Subaru Legacy reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to reliability as a strength, alongside the car’s comfortable ride and practical nature. That combination suggests you can count on it for steady everyday use rather than constant attention. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean maintenance history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Subaru Legacy?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 54 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 25.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,684 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Subaru Legacy's resale value?

The current average of $14,684 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,729 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current pricing trend means your return will depend heavily on how well the car is maintained and how competitively you price it. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Subaru Legacy or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 25.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the better pick if you want the refreshed model-year updates, standard all-wheel drive, and a strong owner-satisfaction record in a practical midsize sedan. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2018 stands out as the more modern and well-rounded choice.
