How much does the 2018 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 14.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,426 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2018 RAM 1500 earns a 4.64/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, features, and value for money, while also highlighting its power and towing ability. For you, that makes it a compelling choice if you want a full-size pickup that feels more refined and versatile for everyday use. With 29.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck that many people find dependable and trouble-free enough to keep enjoying over the long term, especially when comfort and utility matter as much as raw capability. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger ownership risk is less about the truck’s overall appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rushing.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,426 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,366 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $22,422 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,242 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the current average, future resale will depend heavily on how well the truck is equipped, maintained, and presented when you decide to sell. Because the model has broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction, demand should remain reasonably steady.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used full-size pickup with strong owner approval, a comfortable ride, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities, the 2018 is a sensible place to focus. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced example offers similar equipment and condition for less money.
