Used 2018 Mazda CX-5 for Sale nearBarrie, ON

How much does the 2018 Mazda CX-5 cost?

Prices have softened 4.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 300 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Mazda CX-5 a good car?

Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, great features, stylish interior, safety features, and performance on the road. That fits the CX-5’s role as a compact SUV that aims to feel more polished and upscale than many rivals, especially if you want something practical without giving up a more premium cabin experience. With 24.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Mazda CX-5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise centred on the smooth ride and overall quality. At the same time, some drivers have noted issues such as paint flaking on certain colours, so a used example still deserves a careful inspection. For long-term ownership, the main risk is buying a vehicle that has been poorly maintained or shows signs of the reported problem areas.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Mazda CX-5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 24.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 300 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.74% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,047 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Mazda CX-5's resale value?

The current average of $19,563 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,536 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can make the CX-5 more attractive to used buyers today but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices continue to soften. Even so, the model’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal help support demand. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and stay on top of maintenance, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mazda CX-5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 24.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Mazda CX-5 is a strong choice if you want a compact SUV with a more upscale feel, good owner satisfaction, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you’re price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years, but the 2018 stands out as a balanced pick when you want style, features, and a solid used-market value proposition.
