Is the 2018 Mazda CX-3 a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Mazda CX-3 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its great handling, smooth ride, and attractive design, and many also like its compact size and AWD capability. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a small crossover that feels more premium and engaging than many rivals, even if you do not need maximum space. With 27.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a well-priced example.

Is the 2018 Mazda CX-3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free for many shoppers, with praise centred on the way it delivers a smooth, confidence-inspiring ownership experience. That kind of long-term approval matters if you want a used crossover you can count on without constant second-guessing. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about reliability and more about whether the CX-3’s smaller cabin and cargo area will suit your day-to-day needs over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Mazda CX-3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 132 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.43% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,624 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Mazda CX-3's resale value?

The current average of $16,401 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,911 CAD.

That price movement suggests the CX-3 has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. The current market still shows healthy interest, especially for examples that present well and are priced near the lower end of the range. Because the model has a strong owner satisfaction profile, demand should remain reasonably supportive when you decide to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mazda CX-3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2018 is the year to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs any differences in equipment or condition.
