Should I buy a 2018 Mazda CX-3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a small crossover with strong owner approval, a stylish feel, and a market that has eased from last year, the 2018 is the primary year to target. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you can also compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of price and condition.
