How much does the 2018 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 17.32% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 324 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for used shoppers.

Is the 2018 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. Owners consistently praise the stylish design, comfortable interior, smooth driving experience, and family-friendly spaciousness, while the safety features and overall value also come through as recurring positives. For you, that makes the 2018 Sorento a sensible pick if you want a midsize SUV with useful room and a polished feel. With 25.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people find dependable and trouble-free in everyday use, especially when it comes to comfort, practicality, and long-term ownership confidence. At the same time, some owners mention potential mechanical issues, so you should pay close attention to service records and how the vehicle has been maintained. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term risk is less about the model’s overall appeal and more about finding one that has been cared for properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Kia Sorento?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 324 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.32% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,812 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $13,812 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,706 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sorento has become more affordable for buyers, which can make it a tougher vehicle for sellers to command top dollar in the short term. If you own one, strong condition, complete maintenance history, and desirable equipment will matter more when it comes time to resell. The current market also shows that buyers still respond to value, so a well-kept example should remain competitive. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Sorento is a strong choice if you want a well-rounded midsize SUV with a comfortable cabin, useful space, and a market that has become more buyer-friendly. If you are shopping on a tighter budget, the 2017 model may be worth a look for similar appeal at a lower average price, while the 2019 model is the better path if you want the newer-year updates and are willing to pay more.
