2018 made changes that make driving this model smoother, quieter, and tighter. Pick up (acceleration) is quite decent for a small engine car. Super roomy cabin and the bucket seats are the most comfortable ever! Nice looking... Great value for the price. I am a Kia fan...this is my second (in 11 years!)

How much does the 2018 Kia Forte cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $11,143 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $11,143 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $13,200 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $13,200 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −15.58% |
Prices have softened 15.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 198 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for you to compare.
Is the 2018 Kia Forte a good car?
Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a model year that many owners have been happy with. That kind of feedback can be a useful sign if you want a used car that has earned solid real-world approval. With 26.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a reasonable chance of finding a competitively priced example.
Is the 2018 Kia Forte reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can help reduce the risk of unpleasant surprises, especially if you verify maintenance records and overall condition before you buy.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Kia Forte?
It’s a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 198 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 15.58% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $11,143 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2018 Kia Forte's resale value?
The current average of $11,143 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,200 CAD.
That softer pricing can be a mixed signal if you’re thinking about future resale: it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point, but it also means the market has already adjusted downward. If prices stabilise, a well-kept example could hold its value better than a neglected one. Strong condition and documented maintenance matter more when the market is already leaning lower.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2018 Kia Forte or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2018 if:
- 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 15.58% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2018 is a sensible choice if you want a used Forte with solid owner approval and a market that has become more buyer-friendly. If your priority is value, this year looks especially worth a close look. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2018’s current market position.
