Is the 2018 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, modern tech, and value for money, and many also like the spacious interior and clever truck-bed features. It fits especially well if you want a pickup that feels more refined and easier to live with day to day than a traditional truck. Is the 2018 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort and value that tends to go hand in hand with confidence over time. That said, used buyers should still check maintenance records and inspect the truck carefully, since long-term ownership risk always depends on how the vehicle was maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 130 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,558 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $25,141 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,431 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at today’s average, there is less room for appreciation in the near term, so resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck is equipped. Strong demand for practical, comfortable pickups can still support values, especially when the vehicle has been well cared for.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Ridgeline makes the most sense if you want a comfortable, well-liked used truck and you value a softer price trend plus decent deal availability. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a similar truck can save you money, but the 2018 is a strong starting point for shoppers who want a balanced mix of comfort, practicality, and owner approval.
