How much does the 2018 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 12.60% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 230 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, comfort, and family-friendly features, and many also highlight its reliability and modern design. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a practical minivan with a more car-like driving feel and plenty of family-focused equipment. With 27.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to reliability and a dependable ownership experience, with many drivers describing it as a vehicle they can count on. That said, some owners mention infotainment and airflow concerns, so a used example with a clean maintenance history and a thorough test drive is especially important. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is buying one that has been poorly maintained or already shows signs of the electrical or transmission issues some early examples have faced.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 230 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.60% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,936 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $24,234 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,726 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If you own one for a few years, the current softness may limit short-term upside, especially if similar listings remain plentiful. On the other hand, a well-kept example with strong equipment and a clean history should still appeal to family buyers looking for value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped family minivan and you find a clean 2018 at a competitive price, it is a sensible buy. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, equipment, and asking price.
