Is the 2018 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Dodge Charger earns a 4.67/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its sporty character, smooth ride, powerful performance, stylish design, tech features, and spacious interior. That lines up well with its role as a roomy, comfortable, and practical family sedan with muscle-car personality. With 29.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free experience for many shoppers, with praise for the car’s durable feel and overall long-term appeal. At the same time, some reviewers mention reliability complaints, so you should pay close attention to service records and the condition of any used example you consider. For a used buyer, that means the car can make sense for long-term ownership, but a careful inspection matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Dodge Charger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 68 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 24.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,485 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $17,485 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,159 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who pays near the top of the range. The model’s broad appeal and practical layout should still support demand, especially among shoppers who want a distinctive sedan with space and personality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 24.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want the Charger’s roomy cabin, muscle-car personality, and later-generation infotainment in a year with softer pricing. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge on the trunk.
