Generally — 4.3/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and owners repeatedly point to its comfortable ride, spacious interior, and good fuel economy. The user feedback also highlights the turbo engine as an upgrade, with owners describing it as a better balance of power and efficiency. • Inventory: There are 306 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.62% compared with last year.

What is the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $14,766 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,708 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale a little more challenging if you buy at the wrong price. On the other hand, the Equinox's broad appeal as a roomy, comfortable compact SUV should help keep it relevant with used shoppers. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 23.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the better pick if you want the redesigned third-generation Equinox with a more modern cabin, updated powertrains, and strong everyday practicality. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2018 stands out as the more appealing balance of value and updated design.
