Used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 12.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 574 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox earns an 7.7/10 expert rating, and its redesign gives you a more modern look, new standard tech, and more standard safety equipment than before.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It also brings a sub-$30k base price, which helps its value proposition stand out in the compact crossover class. The trade-offs are a small cargo compartment for the class and a finicky voice assistant, while minimal off-road capability even in ACTIV trim means the weekend-ready styling does not translate into serious trail ability. Overall, it suits you best if you want a practical compact SUV with a stronger sense of style and more standard equipment.

36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a healthy sign of market availability.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is positioned as a practical compact SUV with a redesigned cabin, new standard tech, and a single 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, so the basics are straightforward.

Its performance setup is simple, with 175 horsepower and a new transmission pairing that should keep the drivetrain easy to understand for used buyers. The standard wireless smartphone projection, Chevy Safety Assist, and Teen Driver Technology also point to a well-equipped ownership experience.

The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is that the Equinox’s value depends more on everyday usability than on standout mechanical sophistication, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT is the now-base trim and comes with 17-inch wheels, while RS adds black mirrors and badges, a larger grille opening, red RS emblems, and standard 19-inch wheels. Activ brings dark chrome accents, simpler grille inserts, 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and a more adventure-oriented look.
• Powertrain: You get a single 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. LT FWD uses a CVT, while AWD versions use an eight-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes enhanced automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear seat reminder, automatic high beams, rear park assist, and side blind-zone alert. The available Safety & Technology package adds rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, traffic-sign recognition, and a camera rearview mirror.
• Infotainment: The standard touchscreen is 11.3 inches, and you get wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Google Built-In, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and a six-speaker audio system. Wireless charging is standard on RS and Activ and available on LT.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-consumption figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, RS, Activ.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry point and still want standard wireless smartphone projection, Chevy Safety Assist, and Teen Driver Technology. It makes the most sense if you care more about equipment than appearance.
• RS: This is the sportier-looking choice, with black exterior details, larger wheels, and a darker cabin with red accents. It suits you if styling matters and you want the more distinctive road presence.
• Activ: This is the best fit if you want the more weekend-ready look, all-terrain tires, and the Maple Sugar and Black interior theme. It is the trim that most clearly leans into the new adventure flavour.

The available Safety & Technology package can add useful driver-assistance features to any trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox?

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 574 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.01% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,151 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $34,151 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,813 CAD.

That price trend suggests the Equinox has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help you enter the market at a lower cost. For a future seller, it also means you should expect a softer resale environment than last year’s. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you’ll be better positioned to limit depreciation pain later.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.01% compared with last year.
• It brings a redesigned look, new standard tech, and more standard safety equipment.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $36,268 CAD, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $34,151 CAD average.
• It adds a standard drive mode selector.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2025 is the smarter buy because it delivers the redesign and the strongest pricing position. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year and a small equipment update, the 2026 is the cleaner alternative.
