Is the 2018 Audi Q7 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with many drivers describing it as a trouble-free mix of luxury, space, and performance. That kind of long-term confidence matters if you plan to keep the SUV for several years. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific example you choose has been maintained well and suits your needs, especially given the Q7’s premium complexity.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Audi Q7?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 183 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.39% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,509 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Audi Q7's resale value?

The current average of $21,733 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,309 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Q7 more attractive to buyers now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The model’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand, but resale value will still depend on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Q7 makes sense if you want a well-liked, three-row luxury SUV and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it’s worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a similar Q7 offers a better value at the same equipment level.
