Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Qashqai?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, especially if you are willing to compare listings closely and move quickly on well-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 162 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.67% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,242 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Qashqai's resale value?

The current average of $12,242 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,869 CAD.

For a future seller, that points to a softer pricing environment than a year ago. If you buy at the right price now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who paid closer to last year's average. The current market also suggests buyers are still price-sensitive, so resale value will likely depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how your listing compares with similar examples.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Qashqai or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.67% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a model year with softer pricing and a decent pool of listings to compare. If you are price-sensitive, keep an eye on the lower end of the range and be ready to act when you see a clean example priced below the current average.
