Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Micra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 63 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.90% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $8,909 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Micra's resale value?

The current average of $8,945 CAD sits slightly below last year's $10,153 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, buying near the lower end of the range can help protect your position. Strong demand from satisfied owners can also support resale stability over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Micra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a used Micra with strong owner approval and a softer price than a year ago. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them carefully against nearby model years before you decide.
